Prestige, as well as Floor are your starting XP rates for RS gold the dungeon you finish (then death, level-modification, deaths etc. kick in). So, if you complete 30 floors, press the prestige button before you go to floor 31. Your xp should be close to 100%, because of the difference in your prestige and your floor.
So, that's prestige. As a member of a team, you must always have the equivalent of a tool kit (whether bought or bound) and also laws/cosmics or astrals should you have any other to. Astrals are a great way to treat poisons, and therefore are valuable in abandoned 2/warped (abandoned generally abandoned). CRUSH skeletons. Attack styles are the most popular thing in dugneoneering.
BIND a 2h sword (the most powerful you can get) If you don't possess the smithing skills to create it, go to 'Dung Smith FC. If you receive the Shadow Silk Hood from a night spider, bind that too - and until that point choose the most powerful platebody (again'Dung Smith' FC)
Bind Law runes until you discover a Celestial surgebox (from the highest level of Forgotten Mages. It looks like a little silver box they hold by them in their spare time). When you've found the surge box, you need to create enough runes to create 125 air surges, and put it in the box then bind it. Once you have equipped the surgebox with the surgebox, you'll be able cast at least 125 air surges. That's all I've ever thought of for you. If you have any questions PM me on Sals.
It seems like the combat thing can make the game feel more similar to WoW..? That's not a negative thing Imo. The thing I'd like to see would be a dungeon system like wow with a healer and tank, dps, etc. It's too much. The EoC as it stands is sufficient to take RS out of its dead combat mechanics. You've certainly never been PvP'd...
To be honest, EoC IMO isn't good or bad, but it's going away with bots, which is good. It's just not something you can really explain, there were some clan wars-related updates for F2P however, other than that F2P doesn't have much..
I've tried PvP in the Beta. It's pretty amazing. PvP in the Live is a different story. I'm not wealthy enough to be able to replace all items that I've lost, so I generally don't play north. Additionally, I don't have an herblore levels for overloads.
But, I personally wouldn't consider PvP using the current system of combat "dead combat" though it's a matter of opinion. I'm of the opinion that fighting almost all monsters that are not bosses in buy OSRS gold the current system is quite boring, but it's going to always remain this way.
