I've not played Tecmo Bowl. It's true. I've watched people playing Madden nfl 22 coins it quite a bit. But I knew what I could accomplish. I was aware of exactly what the Tecmo Bowl man could do. It's a joy to listen to people compliment me after that game.
The video game portion of your return to Madden includes celebrating Nike's iconic Bo Knows campaign. We'll go back to the beginning. How did the brand introduce the idea of Bo Knows to you?
We found Bo Knows accidentally. Directors, writers, and sketchers -- we were sat on the couch discussing some storyboards to shoot our next project. We decided to trim it down since it was a little too long. Everyone was offering their opinions about this or that. I was thinking, "Why can't we do this? ... Why would we not shift this across here, add this together, and take out 5 or 6 moments?' They looked at me and said "Wow. It's likely to work. Someone across the table looked to me and said 'Bo Knows!' Then it stuck. No one sat down and washed their heads or stayed up late contemplating that catchy phrase. It just happened sitting around the war table going over the latest news.
Before you got one of your own, for instance, the Nike Air Bo Turf, back in 1990, your name was on for the Nike Air Trainer 3, that became known as your shoe. What are your memories concerning that Air Trainer 3?
I'll explain it in the following way. In 1969 the year I was in the very first grade in rural Alabama during winter months, it was in 30s in the outside. And I had to attend school barefoot. There were no shoes. I'm not telling this story for sympathy or as a sob story. But I remember my brother standing just a block away from the house. I'm at the front door. There was a sister standing just a blocks away from me,, and My other sister was at the stop for buses. My sister who was at the bus stop could see the bus at the top of the hill just a few block away she'd yell her sister. She would yell at my brother, and then my brother would yell to me. And then I'd go out of the door in bare feet. And by the time my brother got to my sister's house I'd have spotted him earlier. By the time we got at the stop for buses I was 15 to 20 yards ahead of my sister and brother. From walking to school in sandals in the winter of '69 to growing up and having sneakers that were inspired by my mother ... My life was blessed.
After 30 odd years, people still brag about their shoes and keep the shoes. Recently an old friend my own, Anthony Anderson, the comedian, he texts me saying, 'Hey Bo! I'm doing a show about every pair of sneakers. I'm unable find those Air Shoes. I'd like to have a pair that you have! It happened that I found a pair on my desk. I said, "Hey, I have an item here. I can just send cheap Mut 22 coins these to you. It's times like those when I just sit back and say, 'Wow!.'
