The Vikings (3-2) have taken home three Mut 22 coins consecutive sectional titles, and a regional championship in 2020, since the head coach Terry Bales took over the program in 2017-18. Prior to Bales Blue River's final sectional championship was won in 1984-85.
Bales started the season with a 72-30 record and last year's 22-4 (9-0 in the Mid Eastern Conference) mark being his most impressive to date. The Vikings have lost two of their key players as Mallory Cross and Abby Thornburgh in that squad, however they did not lose any of them, and Bales' team was assigned this season with replacing their 14.5 point average, 6.8 rebounding, along with 5.4 assist per game.

Though four consecutive sectional titles would break the school's record but the Vikings still have a long way to go to be a solid postseason candidate.
"I don't know since we still have to grow. I'm hoping we'll become a team capable doing that. I don't believe we're there yet," Bales said of the possibility of winning the sectional championship. "We've been learning how effectively defend ... make sure not to make the errors that don't have to be forced. There's a lot of growing to do. Certainly (a divisional name) is where we'd like to end up."
Although four consecutive sectional titles could break the school's record in the process, there's a long way to go before the Vikings still have some way to go toward being a definite postseason contender.
"I don't know because we're not yet ready to expand. I'm hoping that we will become an elite team capable of accomplishing this. I don't think we're yet there," Bales said of the team's chance to win an area championship. "We've to figure out how to defend better ... take care not to make mistakes that aren't forced. So we've got some growing to do, and certainly (a divisional name) is where we hope to finish."
The Vikings will, in the end, go as far as Madden will take them. She entered this season already a 1,000-point scorer who averaged approximately a 16-point double over the last two seasons and will likely soon surpass 1,000 career rebounds.
Madden has been the key player in Blue River's return to postseason glory as the team's Tuesday night's win by 77-63 over Wapahani (4-2) was a clear demonstration of her importance. Madden scored 27 points, 12 of them during the fourth quarter which was the key to stopping the Raiders attempt to rally, and controlled the paint for the whole game, both on the cheap Madden nfl 22 coins offensive and defensive sides.
