We're pretty good of DPS but we aren't bringing much to the group. No AOE, b+ tier damage, no buffs. If you have only a few slots Don't bring WOW TBC Gold them. They also share loot with two classes that contribute items to the group.
I'm not sure why people claim it's difficult to be a rogue, or to be accepted into groups. I was a rogue, and I made my own groups. If you're unable to be accepted to any of them, it's time to create your own group. The great thing about creating your own groups is that you can choose the gear you want by only inviting those who don't need that gear. I received full-bis because I picked people who don't require leather equipment.
Because I don’t want to tank. ...? Why should I have to perform 1k+ DPS when I can do 500-600 overall DPS (I've reached 995 dps when fighting boss fights) Take off heal whenever it's needed, fight res in order to save the party in the event of a mishap then innervate healer, and give everyone an additional 15% critique
Yes, my character is a feral, can be a good match. While I do tend to tank, I sometimes just want to relax and earn badges. But it just feels horrible when the whole group is doing aoe pulls while I'm playing at a mob, which fails before I earn 5 combo points on it. Unfortunately, Cat doesn't shine in five mens. However, the benefits you mention may be nice. I feel more comfortable about my personal DPS in the event that there is Arcane Mages within the group.
If your feral heals, just kidding. It's not like you're a boomkin who has magic power. While I understand that, I'm not telling you what to do, but even doing 950 damage is 2/3 the bigger dps classes more than that amount of damage can be considered to be the equivalent of carrying. As much as 500 dps is considered an average carry by the team. By forcing dps to participate in these situations they lose any power over the dungeon leader.
I'm off heal only for OMG moments when the healer's incapacitated (and the tank's health is falling dangerously low for example) or oom is on cooldown. innervate is on cooldown .... I'll off tank when needed or when the tank goes down for whatever reason and bres is on cooldown.
It's evident that you're constantly in a group with some incredible dps. For being a hybrid class, I think the avg I'm pulling isn't terrible considering the other things I bring to the table. I'm also offering all other students with 5% more critique.
Tanking will give you more power in group competition and also the capability to collect the items you're looking for. Even if you are a dps player during raids or any other event. My main is a lock and yes, I can hit 1500 DPS. My other ret pally also has 800+ dps against garbage, and 1k+ to bosses. I acquired all the gear I had in my ret by being able to heal and tank when I needed. Then I was able to acquire DPS gear by either buy WOW Burning Crusade Classic Gold running alongside other classes that were geared or simply excluding them from the comp.
