Where did I state classic has been the savior of this MMO gaming. There is a stark difference in how classic keeps you playing vs retail. The idea being retail is manner of keep you enjoying is based off of WOW Classic Burning Crusade Gold metrics gathered by Blizzard and ordered by Blizzard and their high ups where Classic's way to maintain you playing is simply bread crumbs in which you truly progress towards jobs. Ill take classic's way of farming shit understanding I will eventually get it in my weekend away versus Retails"come back in 3 weeks straight before your sub expires to get the next story bit."
It's hard to go from the Legion circlejerk but legendarys, AP, and titanforging were the worst thing to ever happen to WoW. They have been met with massive positive feedback on 3 of the oddest methods ever put in the match. I had been a raid logger and Legion completely snuffed out the whole way I played the game.
That's one of the biggest reasons I dropped Destiny two, that along with the ridiculous cost of the expansions and also the season moves that had barely any value in their benefit tiers, just zero to look forward to and get excited about. Seeing QOL updates being touted as selling points was the final nail, though. Manipulative and sleezy and idle, absolutely fucking lazy and that I have zero qualms saying that.
It stings a little, but the title of the main post also made me immediately think of Bungie, together with Destiny 2. Them committing to thing sunsetting for so long as they did... especially with the arrogance, saying that it's the correct thing to do, despite all the legitimate criticism about it. They did not care about all of the participant time spent grinding for their desirable rolls, watching their items power-capped, then having to re-grind the exact same weapon and rolls, only with a new power cap. They didn't really make the new drops distinct in any meaningful way like sunsetting was likely to perform.
It was an engineered waste of time. Like the name, you can assert they were totally incompetent, they wanted the encouraged player moment, or heck, maybe it is not black and white - they were fine understanding that their incompetence rewarded them, so they dragged their feet on addressing it until more than a year after.
Wow has had 20 years of development effort and expertise thrown at it. Apart from shitty decisions and systems... It works, the game functions and contains a full world built already. That is a lot more than we can say about buy WOW TBC Classic Gold a lot of mmos already. For the most part there aren't any game breaking issues that prevent a large portion of the player base from playingwith.
