I really don't think spoiler tags need to be divisive. Right now it becomes a problem because there are no clear rules about Animal Crossing Nook Miles Ticket what is expected and acceptable in the sub.
If the rules were more clear (ie: spoiler tags necessary for events which haven't happened in real time yet or spoiler tags necessary for articles that contain items which have been attained via hacking to circumvent timelocking) possibly users would not take it as a personal attack on their play mode when individuals asked they use a spoiler tag.
Instead of feeling sensitive to a sensed judgment about time traveling could only be a simple"hello this is contrary to the rules, see sidebar".
(Edit: it is fine to downvote this if you're a avid TTer and do not want to indicate spoilers or something. Just trying to provide another viewpoint in this thread that is asking for feedback)
The things which make my Reddit feed and also top the list on hot after the sticky have been varied on topic so that I would not say there's an problem with shared occurrences that community upvoting and downvoting does not already resolve.
I generally think spoiler tags are absurd, but you would need to go farther than just time travel in the event that you really wished to prevent spoiling things people have not seen yet. All from present season content will need a tag weather it is an old picture from the image library or a fresh image from time traveling both will reveal new gamers thing they haven't already seen. Plus things like the hottest direct video clips would need tagging since it reveals new content before anyone gets a chance to view it in-game.
I really don't find any issue with memorials. I believe remembering your loved ones is amazing and should not be judged as something dark or scary.
I really don't think spoiler tags for articles that's been in the game since launch is fair. Once the game is out its own out. Anything found in the game after that's fair for viewing. As far as New Horizons proceed, how will spoilers for articles even work when there are just two hemispheres and several time zones? When items and events turn into naturally offered in a particular timezone outside of the US, should that individual be downvoted for what's rightfully readily available to them? Northern players for example spoiled things annually for southern hemisphere players rather than a word was said about it. Yet when northern hemisphere players are spoiled about literally anything you never hear the end of it. Southern hemisphere players had been admonished all summer because we obviously had snow. Yet few complained about buy Animal Crossing Items all the summer things that northern hemisphere gamers would show off. How is that fair?
